Located in Inglewood, Underground PR is a woman-owned company servicing small businesses, non-profit organizations and upcoming entertainers. Our clientele ranges from all genres of entertainment, fashion, beauty and design. We can produce campaigns/events for not-for-profit organizations, as well as for-profit organizations to raise awareness for a cause, product, and/or individual. Our budget-conscience campaigns/events will reach our clients' target audience by disseminating his/her bottom-line. After each campaign, we will provide our clients with a wrap-up report illustrating the success of the campaign/event.
Senior Publicist, Kanishia L. Jackson, is a native of Los Angeles and founder of Underground PR. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree, in Mass Communications, from California State University, Dominguez Hills in 2009. She possesses knowledge in Associated Press writing style, as she served as a staff writer for the school's newspaper (CSUDH Bulletin) where she published numerous news and feature stories. Gaining experience at PR firms such as Lynn Allen Jeter & Associates, Trea Day Management & Publicity and LaGrant Communications, she's acquired a full understanding of the public, community and media relations industries. Jackson is also the Board President and CEO of Majestic Hearts, a non-profit for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. She is also the Director of Marketing and PR at I Am..., a non-profit organization focusing on providing outreach services to disadvantaged communities.
